Quick Response Auditing

There are times when the auditor needs to perform some triage, and stop the bleeding (or determine it's source). Such audits may be:

  1. Spur of the moment (driven by some red flag),

  2. Surprises, or

  3. Semi-cyclical or Rotational

In any case, the way “it all plays out” is usually, with the deployment of a large team … for a short time frame (e.g., get in and get out … and assess the damage).

We all understand the “quick response” concept, but what are the best audit techniques to get to the problem and the root cause? This course provides the ground work for the tactical deployment of a quick response team. We’ll investigate:

  1. How much work should be done before you get there,

  2. What evidence should be waiting for you and

  3. What can only be attacked in real-time.

Several success stories (WINS) of quick response audits will be presented.
